Marcelle uses her diverse heritage and unbridled passion for justice to better serve and relate to her clients. Even before she decided to pursue law, Marcelle knew she wanted to advocate for the underdog after her father was unjustly targeted by the United States Government because of his Palestinian identity. (Reno v. American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Comm., 525 U.S. 471 (1999).)
One of Marcelle’s strengths is her unique legal background. Marcelle spent a year working for the UC Davis Immigration Law Clinic where she notably achieved a gubernatorial pardon for a client facing deportation for a low-level misdemeanor. In addition, Marcelle also successfully prepared and won asylum for a former drug cartel informant at their Convention Against Torture hearing. These were some of Marcelle’s most meaningful experiences in her legal practice to date.
Currently, Marcelle focuses her practice to employment discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful termination and retaliation, civil rights violations, and serious injury cases. Outside of the courtroom, Marcelle enjoys photography, chess, and being a cat mom.

Thank you so much for all the work everyone contributed to bringing my case to a successful conclusion. I am truly grateful to everyone.
I was traumatically injured on the job by a negligent forklift driver. I reached out to Karns & Karns when I began to suspect that my other attorneys didn’t have the expertise to resolve a complicated case where the defendant, a massive organization, said I was at fault. I’m certainly glad I did. Bill and Mike treated me with respect, knew the law, and did exactly what was necessary to make the defendant accept responsibility for their bad acts. I recovered $1,000,000.00, and I have Karns & Karns to thank for that.
